MP3 help needed

I bought a cheap MP3 player - Clipz 2GB from WH Smiths. It was found in the sales and posted on the Grabit board. I picked it up today and have not got a clue what to do with it.
The instructions are so small I can't read them. It's supposed to have a "quick start guide", I plugged it into the computer and it recognised it, but seems to be asking what I want to do with my photos?
I'm not expecting anything fantastic as it was very cheap, but am I missing somthing?
Thanks

Presumably you just literally copy across any mp3 files or whatever it can play onto it."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

I think your photo thing you talk about is the autorun popup which is asking you what your media device is for. That is because its recogises it as a memory card or stick. I choose the open as window option at the bottom of that list.
Just drag your MP3s to the device into the window just like you would transfering a file to any folder. When you are finished copying the music. then you can unplug the Device and it will display on screen "sorting" which takes about 10 seconds or so. then its ready to use. Its easy to use. Radio only works with headphones in. and has a nice mic for recoding your own messages.Survey earnings total 2009 £417, 2010 £875, 2011 £5740 -
Davester, thanks for that, I really am thick with these things.
What you say makes sense, now I just have to get the music on to the computer!!!
It seems that it charges the battery when it's plugged into the computer? Is that right? Can it not be charged any other way?0 -
yes is charges from the computer . You can buy this
http://www.amazon.co.uk/LUPO-1000mA-Charger-Adapter-charges/dp/B000SD4KBE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1262023352&sr=8-2
I have one for my Ipod Touch and it also charges my Sansa Clip and Digital camera and satnav. so if you have some stray amazon vouchers from surveys (if you do them) you can use them, thats how I paid for mine. Someone else might be able to recommend a cheaper one, as its gone up in price from when I got my 9 months agoSurvey earnings total 2009 £417, 2010 £875, 2011 £5740 -
Yeah Ebay may be a cheaper option. Even cheaper if you look for a China/Hong Kong supplier.
The Sweex manual/QuickStart guide isn't exactly comprehensive but at least you can zoom in! (You'll need Adobe pdf Reader).
Likewise the Product Sheet0 -
Thanks again.
I have a Nero programme on my laptop so am trying to work that out now.0 -
Thanks FireFox, you're right, the instructions don't tell you anything when you can see them
I've managed to get a CD onto the computer as an MP3 file, Ive dragged it over to the open folder (post 3), the red light flashed a bit then nothing.
I don't know if it's "on" the player, if it is I can't get it to play.
Any ideas anyone?0 -
Thanks all I now have music where ever I go!!!0
