Yep already got it. Not hugely different on the surface, although does seem to render slightly faster. I've not played around with the torrent functionality yet.
Make sure you backup your profile before upgrading.
I personally, moved my profile, then uninstalled Opera 8, installed Opera 9, then copied across various parts of my Opera 8 profile (wand info, bookmarks etc...) into my new Opera 9 profile directory. Works like a charm."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -

Beware of Opera 9!!!!!
As a long term user of Opera I upgraded on Tuesday & it has totally borked my setup!!
It has forced me to uninstall my paid for AV & Firewall & resort to freebies just to allow the system to open Outlook Express!!!
I held back from downloading the beta but this is the 1st time that Opera have launched a pup. Im now running on 8.5 again.0 -

In what sense? I can't see how Opera interferes with AV. What AV/Firewall are you using? I know of quite a few bugs/unfixed problems but have never heard of anything like that."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -

Using ZoneAlarm Security suite.
Outlook Distress would crash each time I tried to open it & send an error report (only started after Opera 9 Install).
I have cleared now by uninstalling Opera 9 & Zonelabs SS then removing all of the AVs debris (lots of files all over!)reboot then installed Opera 8.5 then AV.0 -

Zone alarm is a joke anyway, I used to beta test their software on a test machine and gawd blind me, it sucked.
Well zone labs have released 3 updates in as many weeks.
Get yourself an updated version if you have not yet:
ZoneAlarm with Antivirus v6.5.722.000
ZoneAlarm Pro v6.5.722.000
ZoneAlarm Security Suite v6.5.722.000
ZoneAlarm Free v6.5.722.000
ZoneAlarm Anti-Spyware v6.5.722.000
Take your pick they're all a couple of days old.0 -
