Quidco + EDF - no order tracking

Options
Hi,

I signed up for dual fuel with EDF via Quidco about a month ago, and on the Quidco site it recognises that I have signed up with EDF.

However, the £60-odd payment is not being recognised as tracked yet and when I tried to raise a query it said I needed an energy contract number which should have been on my confirmation email.

To quote: "EDF Energy contract number in the format of 98270016. This number is assigned to you once you have confirmed your purchase with EDF Energy and will be located on your confirmation email."

I'm guessing the confirmation email is the one I received when I first signed up with EDF?

If not, I'll run away shamefaced now!! Do I receive another email with these details in later?

Look forward to hearing any of your experiences with EDF and Quidco tracking - I'm also waiting for More Than to pay up £60 for their home contents insurance.

Many thanks,

CW

and I must say there has been no problem in getting the cashback it tracked without any problems. Signed with Edf energy v5 but am clueless now as to what the rates where compared to now, dispite looking on thier website, unfortunately and do not know if i can move again or have to pay a 'penality'?

i moved to edf via quidco aswell, and nothing has tracked
  • I moved to EDF via Quidco on 30th September, it didn't track so I had to raise an earnings query. This worked and the amount has now been validated but am still waiting for it to be paid. Its taking forever!!

i signed up to EDF via quidco yesterday and it hasnt tracked yet. I had the same problems when I signed up with EDF a few months ago via Topcashback. I had to raise an earnings enquiry to get that sorted.

Now, how do you raise an earnings enquiry on Quidco for a transaction which hasnt even tracked yet????

I signed up to EDF via Quidco last October. My new EDF account went live on 23/10/09. Because I'd been an EDF customer several years ago, my online account access wasn't fully activated until nearly the end of December.

Being totally naive about the Quidco cashback, I didn't even know I was supposed to check that it had 'Tracked', so when I contacted them to find out when I would get my £60 they said I was already too late to claim!

Stuff Quidco, I've closed my account with then. Never again!

Anyone else had problems? I'm thinking of switching bit it's only if I get the cashback otherwise I'm better off with first utility (by 2 pounds and the fact that there are no get-out penalties)

All went through fine for me and I received the payment a few days ago. I remember there being something about a "confirmation number" but I couldn't figure out what it meant and after a few weeks it just went to tracked and then verified anyway. Just wait a while and see.

On 8th Jan 2010, I cleared my cookies/history in Firefox completely, logged into quidco and selected edf energy link, the edf page showed I had visited from Quidco.

Filled the application and got a confirmation email regarding joining 'Online Saver Version 5 with EDF Energy'. The email doesn't state the contract number as quidco seemed to believe, but is available by phoning 08000150959 (number at the bottom of the first letter received from Edf)

The contract number I was given over the phone is in the form 98xxxxxx (8 digits) not 10 digits as indicated by quidco. (quidco qualifies this on the earnings submission page this as saying it may be upto 10 digits.

The transaction didn't track in quidco, (it can take upto 28 days - you can't do this till then) after 28 days I selected 'Support' underneath the blue tabs
    My Account - Settings - Tranactions - Payments - Donations - (Support)
    Then select Earnings Enquiries tab...

    Support Messages - (Earnings Enquires)

    Then select Compose Earnings Enquiry

    The under New Earnings Enquiry

    Select Merchant -> EDF Energy

    Click Next , Step 1 of 4

The time and date of the time you visited (clicked through to) EDF Energy should be shown, select the one which corresponds to the time you joined. (if this isn't shown, you can't submit an earnings submission)

Click Next, Step 2 of 4

£50 for electricity contract by a new customer, Transaction Amount should be '0', Quantity '1'

Click Next, Step 3 of 4

Enter the contract number 98xxxxxx (8 digits) , quidco say it maybe upto 10 digits

Step 4 of 4 : Submit the Earnings Enquiry!

    Hope this helps.
