Runswick inset stove

I am seriously thinking about getting a Runswick inset stove. My fire doesn't work an I rely on the rubbish central heating we have.
I need to know if I will get enough heat ( it's output is 4kw ) for a room size - 4.5m x 3.6m x 2.5.
It will cost appox £1000 with a flu ( I'm not sure if I need a flu liner yet) but I just want some advice on if it will in the long run be moneysaving with a bit of comfort ( I am sick of being freezing in my own house)
I am planning on getting getting my wood free ( already have a shed full )
I also need to know if anyone can advise me on if I need to get a new surround as I have a homemade built wooden surround which I have tilled myself with normal bathroom tiles

I have just measured my hearth and it measures 380mm in width, i thought I read somewhere it should be 500mm for a insert stove, is this correct?became debt free December 060

generally speaking (wet) gas CH is the most efficient way of heating a house.
you maybe better off spending the same money on your present CH system.
whats wrong with it?Get some gorm.0 -
My house is an ex council house ( I bought it 8 years ago) and its a cheap system which was installed about 15 years ago, it's ok as background heating and for heating up the water though.
I really need a fire in the living room now, the one I have isn't working and it's about 18 years ago, it still looks good ( a cannon caress ) but it's not so cozy now because it does'nt work, it died for good this year in October and I knew then I would need a new fire. (but didn't realise how cold the winters are until it packed in)
I have been looking at the new stoves fires for ages but wouldn't get one as I don'nt believe in getting something new just because they look good.
I think maybe it's time to have a makeover in my living room as it is looking abit shabby now.
I would really like to hear if anyone has one of these fire's and to know what they are like and how efficient they are.

Just happened across this post from googling the Runswick. I've considering this stove at the moment too.
I'm no expert, but I think 380 is the standard opening size. The measurements on the diagrams below show it's 380 at the back and 500 at the front where it extrudes:-

Have you got any further with this? I'm interested in what work is involved in fitting the Runswick. From my googling, it seems to be the easiest to install.
Do you knwo how it's swept? It says it's fine with an unlined chimney in the blurb. Do you know how you access it for sweeping?0 -
Dimplex have just taken out a new range of inset wood burning stove, the westcott and Eddington. We were going to install Dimplex Eddington at eakers in devon, but would need to build a constructional chimney breast.
