Hi
I received a vanquis cc in Nov and as yet I have not received any statements. I am getting abit worried about it as I dont want any late payment charges. I have tried ringing on both the 0800 and 0871 numbers because I am not getting anyone answer, I have rung 4 times already today and it just keeps ringing on and on without anyone answering.
Can anyone help
thanks

Can you register on-line to use their on-line banking/statement service?0

sorry - didn't realise it was not a working day, my husband is at work
I have registered online for paying, but that does not give any details of how much you need to pay.

It sounds like your statement is not ready, but as another poster says try ringing them when it's not a UK public holiday.
I'm suprised there are people who don't know when bank holidays are.
It's on every calendar or diary.0 -
It all depends on when abouts you received your vanquis card in November, if it was near the beginning then i would say you should have received it by now. If it was nearer the end, then i would say its on its way to you, caught up in the christmas post.
Certaintly didnt feel like a public holiday for me today. Had to go to work as contracted for mondays on normal pay. This is because where i work actual boxing day was the official bank holiday. Not a bank holiday for everyone!0 -
No, it won't be a holiday for everyone. Depending on what job you do you could be working any day when other people are having a public holiday, but it doesn't stop it being a bank holiday. The official day, Boxing Day is the holiday, but when it falls on a Saturday, like this year, the Monday is kept as a bank holiday in lieu of the official day, and bank branches will normally be closed. Next year Christmas Day will on a Saturday and Boxing Day on a Sunday, so both the Monday and Tuesday will be public holidays in place of the proper days.
Some telephone banking/credit card services are open every day, whether it's a holiday or not, e.g. First Direct, and internet banking should normally be available 24/7/365.0
