Paying £1 a month

You really need to get in touch with CCCS or payplan and they will work out how much you can pay. I receive unter £300 a month disability benefits and pay my creditors £20 per month. It is classed as a low start management plan, but isn't to be confused with token payments which are £1 a month I think. Please consider putting up a SOA so we can help you more

Fair enough but we are very limited in how we can help you then.... contact CCCS for free and non public support:j £2 coins = £2.00 :j0 -

I just want to maintain my privacy.
And that's fine.
Unfortunately, however, people are unable to other you more practical advice until they know more of the facts and figures.
We can give you general advice, but that could be dangerous as it may not be best suited to you.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
You should really think about putting the SOA up dehaani, these guys are brilliant at spotting things that can be cut back, where you may be overpaying etc (electricity, gas) and suggestions which are tailored to your circumstances and income (which debt to pay down first) to give you some wriggle room and ease the pressure.
I know it is a tough thing to do, laying yourself bare to others but it may help you to find a way forward more easily and ease your stress. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Sometimes though dehaani, we don't like to be told even if it is best for us. Posting up an SOA will be tough, there will be some questions and you may not like all the replies as what you see as an essential to your living, others may not.
But through all of that, the answers would be designed to help you get out of debt and make your life easier....paying down debt is no easy thing, easy to get into it but blooming hard to climb out of it and unfortunately, to do that, you have to take the rough with the smooth.
Over my time here, I have seen some really horrendous SOA's and initially some rather cross replies to suggestions but eventually, it is accepted that to get out of the position they have got themselves into, something has to give.
I don't have debt but I have had experience of having a demand for nigh on 30k land on my doormat from a repo in the almost mid 90's, so know some of the feelings that people go through. We made it! Also, the true situation is often not as bad as people think it is.
90% of the time, people are really scared they can't afford the repayments etc, but, when they posted their SOA it really wasn't that bad.
Quite often (not always), a few cutbacks and a spending diary leads to a debt free life.
And, as SingleSue said above me, sometimes we need someone else to tell us that we do not NEED that 200 GBP entertainment budget, or 50 GBP on Sky etc. We've all got pretty used to regarding such things as essential when they aren't really.February wins: Theatre tickets0
