Grit / magic ice melt
Options
I came accross Magic Ice Melt ( http://www.constructionstore.co.uk/MIM6-Magic-Ice-Melt-10kg-Bag/ ) while searching for grit.
The above link is the cheapest price I could find.
Has anyone else used this company / product?
Am I better of just getting grit? If so, from where?
Thanks for any tips.

Strewth that's pricey, 3 times the price of rock salt and less than 1/8th the amount, that makes it 24 times the price per kg of salt. Unless there's some chance of run-off onto delicate plants I can't see how its worth it. I got through 2x25 kg salt clearing my frontage. Most builders yards have salt/grit as do the sheds.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Any suggestions for online ordering?0

Don't you have grit boxes on the street in your town/village? Bucket and shovel does enough for a driveway for free.0

Its because of people like you that local councils have removed these salt bins :mad:If You See Someone Without A Smile......Give Them One Of Yours0 -

Probably not.
Anyway, around here the council is a waste of space.0 -
The stuff listed in the first post above is brilliant. I got some and it is much better than normal salt.0

NO its not there for you to clear your driveways so you can get your cars out. Its there for shop keepers to put outside their shops so people can walk to get supplies they needIf You See Someone Without A Smile......Give Them One Of Yours0 -

I think some councils do put it there for public use, as around where I live there is a few of them, and no shops anywhere around (although one of them is near the pub, hurrah!)“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”
