Main computer is downstairs. Having broadband problems with upstairs computer and laptop connection, it always states "low connectivity".
I'm wondering if one of the following might help. Has anyone got one and would recommend them please? Thanks.

I bought a pair of these some months ago ....very cheap, but are working really well. Never lost connection. I would definitely not go back to wireless

An access point might be more useful, if you cannot run a small cable (cat5e).
An access point is a router without the router, just the wireless bit, take the weak signal and resends it. But an Ethernet cable is what you really want, cheap, no running costs, very fast and tight security built in.0 -

I have three items in my lounge which I wanted to connect to my PC and internet. I bought one of these > http://www.johnlewis.com/230696959/Product.aspx
Went to JL as I am tired of buying periferals which do not work as well as I had hoped. If I am not happy 28 days to return it!
It works very well, 200 Mbps speed rating. No more drop out and interferance on wireless."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

I bought a pair of these from Broadbandbuyer because they don't reduce your wall sockets.

I spent a small fortunate on my wireless 'n' network but one corner in living room still gets mediocre wireless. I need a home plug for the satellite Humax box for iplayer plus boast for a pc, blue-ray player (it can get youtube) and maybe wii0
