Websites log in problem - my laptop?

I have a problem in that I can't log in to my M&S account. It accepts my details and then says 'welcome xxxxx' which shows the log in was successful but then it's like one big continual loop and I constantly get asked to log in, I can't access anything in my account.
I used CC to clear cookies/files etc but it didn't help so I emailed M&S who tell me the problem is at my end and to delete the internet temp files, which I did but it has made no difference.
Thing is, they must be right that it's a problem at my end because it's now also happening with the Quidco site...all I get is a log in loop.
Any ideas? I would have thought CC would have got rid of anything that might have caused this.
All other sites are fine btw, it's just these two.

Which browser/ Can you try an alternative? Firefox or IE or Opera (all decent and free).

I.E 8.
I could try something different but I'd rather get to the bottom of this first and find out why and how to sort it, (other than using a new browser

...but it would narrow it down to a specific browser issue

You could try running IE8 with add ons disabled - Click Start, then in the Run/Search box type -
iexplore.exe -extoff
Happy to admit I'm being thick but I'm a bit confused.
How would changing browser help if it's already established that it's mine that's at at fault? Do you mean rather than it being a website issue? Sorry, not trying to be awkward just confused.
If I changed browser and it worked, then how would I fix IE because that's still what I would want to use.
Will go try your suggestion now......
Edit: Running without add ons has worked, I can access my accounts normally. Thank you. So does that mean I will have to disable add ons every time I want to log in to these 2 sites or should I just leave them disabled permanently?Herman - MP for all!

Established by whom? They could quite easily pass the buck...fair enough, it is suspect that it's affecting two websites but your 'cost' for a Firefox download would be approx. 5 minutes including set-up. Just my opinion. Your call

Sorry, I didn't realise you meant use another browser as a 'test', I thought you meant just to switch to another browser permanently.

^Not at all; just trying to rule out a problem with IE first
. You can quite happily have multiple browsers living side by side
Although IE might object
