Cut and Paste

Hi, I was wondering if someone could help me. I can't get my mouse to paste. It cuts okay and will right click quite happily to close/open things but it will not paste anything??
Finally, I can see you crystal clear

Some applications don't allow paste - try using the keyboard shortcuts CTRL+C (copy), CTRL+X (cut) and CTRL+V (paste).0

It was working fine until yesterday, it usually lets me copy and paste things like you tube links, and passwords from where I have them stored, it just seems to have stopped working, I'll try that though, thanks.Finally, I can see you crystal clear0
