How to return a car back to Arnold clark?
Options
Hi my brother bought a car from Arnold clark and i think he got ripped off.. Is there anyway of returning it if he changed his mind - it's nothing wrong with it - i feel he payed too much money..
His trade in car was a Vauxhall zafira 1.6 7seater 01 plate with 47k miles on the clock and there was nothing wrong with it... he got valued at £5k for trade in price..
He bought a Vauxhall Zafira 1.6 7seater 04 plate with 41k miles on the clock.. and he payed £3k on top of trading his old car in...
I think thats too much to pay for the same car with the same spec but 3 years newer and roughly the same mileage..
Any advice how to returning if it is a crap deal..?
P.s. All this is on finance of 11.8%..
Thanks in advance

If he's agreed to the deal, it's binding.Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0 -
It is unlikely he can do anything because
a) He was given all the information, obviously felt it was a good deal at the time and decided to go ahead
b) Arnold Clark are not particularly known for their sympathetic approach to customers (Google 'Arnold Clark sucks').0 -
would have to agree, hes stuck with it im afraid, he will get told he should have done a bit more research. maybe sold his car private and then looked into searching for the best price for the car he ended up with. if he signed for it then theres nothing he can do. its the way of life.0

Unless the car has a serious fault he has no grounds on which to reject the vehicle, even if the car was faulty then he would have to give the dealer a chance to rectify the problems.
Just because you think he got a crap deal is not sufficient grounds to return the vehicle. If you are concerned about the finance rate why not help him to shop around to get a lower cost loan and pay off the dealers finance package.
Also i don't actually think that his car plus £3k to get a 3 year younger vehicle is actually that bad.0 -
yeah i know - i'm shopping around as we speak..
