I'm watching Bones, but it's back to back episodes till 5am, so I'm going to have to drag myself away sometime.

have sky-plussed them so plan to watch them whilst ironing over the next few days. DH is off out with Evie tomorrow so will watch do some tomorrow.

Trust is something I struggle with ... I would rather have my heart broken 50 times over than stop taking risks and shut myself off to the possibility of caring about someone.

When DH and i nearly split up I worked out that each and every bloke I'd had a relationship with had cheated on me at some point, BUT it hadn't stopped me falling in love again (or again, or again) :o. It took ages (nearly 3 years) before I started trusting DH again!!!

You see I think I just don't know how to trust people, I have got so used to doing everything myself and there just isn't room. I don't know.

I've been alone for 11 years now.
But I'm older and the odds are not in my favour.

I think that's very brave Cat, it's especially difficult to trust someone who has broken your trust in the past.

Not sure I will ever truly stop loving Shrek but as soon as I knew he had cheated, I knew I would never go back.

I think it depends on whether or not you know if they are genuinely sorry (as opposed to Shrek who was only sorry he got caught) and believe they wont do it again. If you do, then I think a relationship can be saved. If not, it just becomes more and more destructive.
