John Lewis washing machine not heating water?

Have a John Lewis washing machine JLWM1203 which is about 18 months old. Over the last couple of days washing feels very cold when I take it out the machine and I think it doesn't smell as fresh as usual - makes me think perhaps water isn't heating up in machine. Machine is a very cold part of kitchen next to outside wall and it has been below zero for days here. Not sure if that might be causing some sort of problem, or has something gone wrong with machine? Any advice much appreciated. THanks

One thing you can do is (carefully in case it's hot) touch the glass door when it's washing. That way you will know if the water is above the temperature of the water from your tap.

Also depends if the washer uses hot & cold water, or just cold.
