Thinking about it, I'm not too sure (I've had my eyes tested so many times in the last few months that you would think I WOULD know by now, lol!!) I'm just going by what the optician said. I think it was the third line on the chart that I could read last time so I'm guessing 20/20 was the top line of the third chart/slide.
I'm sure you won't have any problems if you follow the advice re drops etc. My only issue was, and still is although it is getting better, dryness but I was warned prior to surgery that I would have to use drops for up to 6 months as I suffered a little with dryness anyway after wearing contact lenses for 20-odd years. If you feel your eyes are a little dry or uncomfortable, just mention to your optician as you can use some of the drops more often if needed and they can also give you eye gels etc if drops you have aren't doing the job for you.
Hope you're managing to sleep better than I did in the goggles, lol!!

Just a wee update...
another mortgage payment gone today so we are technically one month closer to financial freedom :j.
I am just waiting on the halifax to update the online balance which will hopefully be tomorrow. I am hoping to scrape into the £141 's this month.
Six of the ebay items sold so i have made just over £30 which i will pay off the mortgage...just waiting on payment for one item.
Went for eye check up today...eyes still not 20/20 and am suffering from dryness so they have give me a few different drops to use for the next four weeks and then go back for another check up...hopefully there will be some improvement at that stage but i am still really happy with the results.
Thats it for now.....Credit card £4461.15Home mortgage £137117Buy to let mortgage £83,0000 -
Well done WABL.
I got my annual mortgage statement last week... from starting at £125,000 almost 5 years ago, its now £102,000 (odd)... sssoooooo close to going sub £100k. I worked out it will take another 6 months of my normal payments (including regular overpayment) to get below 6 figures... the 5 year fix runs out in 3 months though so I have a lump sum that will get me well below that amount down to hopefully about £85k....
Knowing how excited I am about that prospect, I know just how you feel each time. Keep up the good work.
(Sorry for jumping on the thread)A big believer in karma, you get what you give :A

I'm glad you are happy with your eyes. At my month 2 check there was quite a big improvement from the previous check, so there is still chance that your vision will get even better.
I was a little concerned for quite a while over just how dry my eyes were, and couldn't imagine them ever getting back to normal. I'm still not there yet, but they are gradually improving and have seen a big difference in the last week. I have gone from using 3 different types of drops/gel almost hourly at the start (and even getting up 2 or 3 times during the night as they were so dry) to now only using one type first thing in morning and last thing at night.
Well done on the e-baying. I really need to get my finger out and get some stuff listed but I hate selling on e-bay with a passion. It can be easy money, but if a buyer is not happy it is just so much hassle. I like an easy life!!:o

Hi LGP, glad to see you posting on my diary....i would love to be into 5 figures with the mortgage...looks like it will be at least another 5 years for us
Ayesalush, hopefully there will be further improvement....i really dont fancy having to get further laser done!
I really hate ebaying aswell....it is so time consuming...all the money i make i use to overpay...it is the only way to keep me motivated. I have just spent this evening packaging all the items :mad:Credit card £4461.15Home mortgage £137117Buy to let mortgage £83,0000 -

hi wanta.... you really are an inspiration, my mortgage is less than half of yours but l find it hard going. I thought it was going to be easier than it is, but we're getting there, slowly.
Good for you, l'm so in awe! :j

Thanks Sassy...i have to say i dont feel inspirational and sometimes get really peeved off with the whole thing and it feels as if it is going soooo slow.
At the minute i am fairly motivated so i am making the best of it with ebaying etc.....i go back to work in august from maternity leave and definately wont have time to ebay then.
The good thing about ebaying is that you get rid of a load of clutter...i mostly sell childrens shoes and clothes etc....our attic is full of this type of stuff as we have three children. I read that if items are photographed well that they can sell for a lot more on ebay......so i have just bought a childs manequinn type thing of ebay for £7.50.
Dont know if it will make much of a difference to the pictures but i hope it does....time will tell. I hate when you are selling really lovely clothes and the photographs just dont do them justice.
The last ebayer paid up so i have withdrew the money from paypal and rounded up the £43.50 to £45.00 and paid this off the mortgage :j:jCredit card £4461.15Home mortgage £137117Buy to let mortgage £83,0000
