Rubbish disposal

Hello,
We've just moved into a new house, and had a skip to take away the old bathroom, carpets etc. However, the skip has now gone and we've still got some rubbish to get rid of. It's not a lot ... And maybe I could slow feed it to the wheelie bins over some weeks ... But are there other options for disposal?

I'm new to this area, but I imagine there is ... Can I just go down there and dump everything? I have a full box of stuff to dump, but also some bigger stuff, ie a bed frame. I guess free cycle would be the best for that?0

I don't know about other councils but Knowsley will come and pick up any large items, cookers; fridges; suites etc.
Just need to phone and ask, we may need to wait a week or two.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

I was sure it was free last time i used it so have just checked the website. As from 1/12/09 they have begun to charge £10 for up to 5 items.
But still worth it i think.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
