I ordered a buggy and a few extras for it a few months ago, it was a new buggy that had only just been released and they didn't have the colour scheme I wanted in for display, i expressed my concern about the fact the brochure colour and the website colour varied and they said 'well just see when it comes in'
well now it is in stock, and its a different colour to what I wanted. I paid a £200 deposit, I have a receipt for this with the order form, my question is, Am I entitled to the deposit money back?

That would depend if a colour was specified on the order form.
If not then I very much doubt you will be able to get your deposit back.
Does this store have any returns policy?0 -
Its does say on the order form the colour scheme name, but the website and catalogue both looked different colours.
Not sure if the store has any returns policy, suppose I will have to wait til they are open next week to find out2010 resolutions1- get my 5yo DD dry daytime, with enuresis help dry since 12th Jan so far!

I'm probably going to be a little harsh here OP.
You knew there was potential for the colour being wrong when you left the deposit so you should have had the colour made as a clear condition in the contract. Which you didn't do.
Now the next question is how do you sort it out? Do they have it in the colour you want or not? Can the shop get the colour you want?
How much difference is there in the colour and which is correct the brochue or online? I suggest that online colours can vary enormously depending ob screen and settings. So if brochure is correct then you have even less chance of doing anything about it.
But having said all that surely you can find a colour that suits you and you can sort this out amicably with the shop?0 -
They do the buggy in 3 colours, when I rang them up just before christmas to ask if it had been delivered from the maker, I asked them to open the box and tell me what colour it was (they knew I was adamant I wanted black) she said 'errr sorry, my mistake, its brown, but its still lovely'. The colour scheme was called Black Jack on my receipt.
I asked if I could swap it for a different colour, and she said that I could, but the next one in won't be until April, my baby is due in 4 weeks so that is a bit too long to wait lol2010 resolutions1- get my 5yo DD dry daytime, with enuresis help dry since 12th Jan so far!

The problem with nothing in writing is is becomes he said she said, which is hard to sort out.
Is it the Graco Mojo Light? To be fair to you OP all the colours look confusing and the names of the colours even more so. What a pain.
I will still stick to what I originally said you will need to work with the seller to sort this out. So stay clam and hopefully they can get it sorted. Change of buggy?
I suspect that that if you get too excited they will start to play hard ball.

Its a i candy peach. The original order total was £834.16, but as it was such a new product and they had no demos of the accessories, they said if I didn't like them, they could return them easily and I wouldn't have to pay. The buggy itself was £499.99, the extra money is for the accessories, so I might just make do with the brown buggy and not buy the accessories which are all brown too, as I don't want a brown overload :rotfl: and that way I don't lose my deposit, failing that, like you say, hopefully I can work with them and pick a different one from the shop that is actually black
All I want is a black buggy
