which laptop from these 3?

Looking for a good quality that will last us a while, one that is good for multi tasking, perhaps watching the odd dvd and also streaming movies/tv.
so, with a 4gb ram in mind, and a budget of around £399, I have found these but can't decide which is most reliable make, or best build quality, or better performer!

Can anyone benefit me with their knowledge and wisdom on this? I've been looking for months and am just going round and round in circles!

The Hp on paper is the better deal, more hard drive space than the asus.

If you can find it the same price else where then I would go with the HP. Would recommend PC World .... Find a local IT Supplier who actually cares for your needs not soley on Profits
  • I don't have a lot of knowledge or wisdom but have researching this with my cousin for 3 or 4 weeks now and the HPG61 (no2) looks like a really good deal - I am on the phone to her now about it. After all our hours of looking that seems a good buy for the money. The good thing (!) about PC world is that with some careful cheerful haggling you can get a deal on the extended warranty - we have used this twice and got a new computer each time.
    Good luck!
NO EXCUSES - THIS YEAR IT'S PERSONAL..........

I would see the fact that you HAVE HAD TO USE the warranty 3 times as a bad sign personally !!
  • That's over a space of about 10 years! My thoughts are that a computer rarely lasts past 3 years, and is outdated anyway by then, so if it dies when it is still in the extended warranty, that you got at a bargain price with good haggling, it goes a long way to the next one ;o)
