Usually go to centerparcs but fancy something different - please help

We usually go to centerparcs but think they dont seem as good as they used to, or maybe now our children are older weve outgrown them a bit, does anyone have any ideas for anything similar that would be good for a family with 3 children 16+ for early July, centerparcs was going to be £700 for an executive 3 bed with a sauna, midweek which is around what we want to pay, looked at hoseasons but havent tried them and dont know of any others, dont fancy haven or butlins as want something a bit quieter although doesnt need to be too quiet.

If anyone has tried somewhere really nice thats suitable for older children with things for them to do please please let me know, my oldest lives away now and its a chance for us all to get together for a bit and have fun. Any ideas would be gratefully received, thanks all

  • Bluestone is just down south from me and I've heard good reviews.....but don't forget to explore the stunning north coast too; it's wild and totally unspoilt with loads of activities from coasteering on the base of the cliffs to whale / dolphin watching and trips out to the islands.
Have a wonderful time in beautiful Pembrokeshire!

Hi Rachie. We were looking to book a few nights at bluestone, as some friends have been in october, but was put off, as it seems so expensive. They were taken by their in-laws as a treat.
Did you pay fullprice, or were you able to avail of any discounts, or early booking specials?
Have been to centre parks a few years ago as well , but found that fairly expensive as well, unless there was a lot of people sharing.
Hoping o do a cheapie sun holiday sometime this year as well.

    Hi

we have booked a 4 bedroom ( going with my sisters family too, halve the cost lol )
Mon 20th dec for 4 nights for £349 which I thought was a bargain!

    it says this
    " Dinas Lodge ,4 bedroom : £349.00 (Standard price: £1,449.00)
Equivalent to just £10.91 per person per night based on maximum occupancy of 8 people"

We haven't been to a UK center Parcs since Jan 2007, but are going in the first week of the Easter holidays ( were able to take advantage of breaking up earlier than some of England etc) 3 bed comfort plus,4 nights for £359 ( sharing with friends again to halve the cost!)

the following week was double that!

booked it ages ago though (april 2009!)

The SUN holidays start again next week http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/travel/sunholidays/AutumnHolidays/
I received my priority form this morning, not using it this time round though I don't think
got center Parcs in March / April then lake Garda in May half term,France in Aug and Bluestone in Dec :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

and already planning our next cruise for 2011 :rotfl:

    I love holidays me :D

    Hi, you could try www.pottersholidays.co.uk

They have alsorst of activities that are FREE .You can book the hotel or villas.

Apparently its the UK,s only 5 star resort. We looked into a week there for the 4 of us in August and it was cheaper than Centerparcs and CP many of the activities were extra.....Their online video gives you an idea..
