M&S Credit Card

in Credit cards
Currently I have two credit cards: one Mastercard and one Visa, they are issued by the bank I deal with. All balances are paid of automatically at the end of each months so I never have to pay interest. They are used mainly to pay ISP and buy stuff online and while abroad and in all the years I've had them I've yet to pay 1p in interest charges
At the moment I am looking at applying for the M&S credit card purely and simply to obtain the points offered. My policy will be to pay for the goods by the credit card and then immediately pay of the balance either by cash or my debit card.
Assuming I keep in the black is there real value to be had in going down this road. This year I managed to buy wine gifts for family and friends with the points I had gathered with my Sainsbury's card. I suppose in a sense I'm asking are loyalty card points really worth the effort.
It is easy to see what M&S are playing at: get you used to using the card and well you might just run into debt

Hi,
I use the M&S card for day to day spending. I do a lot of shopping online - groceries, books, games, presents, holidays and so on so I need a credit card for that.
The M&S card gives you vouchers to spend in M&S. I buy clothes for work in M&S anyway so it works out very well for me. I've never paid any interest on the card to date.
I guess the main consideration for you is whether the M&S vouchers will be of use to you?0
