Hi folks,
Afraid I need help again. My son got an ipod touch for Xmas and since then I've been trying to help him get it linked to our internet. I know that you're somehow supposed to do it through itunes but I don't understand how. We've signed him up with itunes but I don't know how to sign him on to our wireless network. I've unsuccessfully tried looking for help in the online manuals etc. so hopefully someone here will be kind enough to help. I'm sure it will be really simple if only I can find where on the web I'm supposed to go to put in the information. Many thanks in advance for any help or advice. ktj

For the iPod Touch, you don't need to do anything in iTunes to get it to connect to your wireless network. However, you do need to know your network name, and the password/passkey to sign onto it. If you know these, you need to do the following
Make sure you're on the home screen, and press Settings
Then you should be able to tap the WI-FI option, and then it will show you all the networks the iPod Touch can find. Once you see yours, tap it, and it'll prompt for the password. Type it in, and it should connect as long as everything is correct.
In future, you might want to read the manual that Apple supplies on its website - http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iPod_touch_3.1_User_Guide.pdf
