payless wrote:But surely for most average users ( not calling oversea mobiles) especially as most will be on tt3+ inc BB , they won't have that much use for 1899 services
No doubt BBB _ Uk meant 1899 type services eg 1899/18866/18185 not specifically 1899, and they might be using 18185 for cheaper ngn, and mobile calls.,then TT offer.PF.0 -
For TalkTalk users with friends on TalkTalk I'll highlight this part from the OP's post as the limit on TalkTalk to TalkTalk was 3 hours.
• All calls to other TalkTalk landlines are still free, all day,
every day, for up to 70 minutes per call.0 -
PF./.. yes I was editing the bit about mobiles.... many of those savvy enough to use a prefix carrier will have a mobile with inclusive x-net calls
( some with very low or effectively free line rental after c/ backs)
The ngn situation .... well I always use my o2 phone ....
Okay other might not have , but again how many don't / what % of bill would these relate to .
A lot of TT bashing here.... OK its not without its faults , but its still a damn good price, and so far I can't really complain.Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -
So does it state in the terms and conditions that prices can be increased and that this cannot be used as a way out of the contract before the minimum term is up?0

not sure about get out... but if the prices go up too much, then they will breach the "cheaper than BT " bitAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0

Doesn't have to mean cheaper overall, because if someone never called 01 and 02 numbers and only ever called 0845 then it would be dearer.
They say cheaper than BT for calls, but then state it excludes numbers such as 0845.It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -
bbb_uk wrote:For those that have made the mistake and signed up for a very long 18 months, have now got to pay more for their calls.
I also suspect that other things will increase as well simply to pay for the so-called "free" broadband.
Call me a cynic, but in rip-off Britain its nearly impossible to get something for free without a lot of clauses and, in this case, price increases in other areas as well.
Well they can't say that us poor !!!!!!!s that were unfortunate enough to be stuck on TalkTalk Broadband for the past year didn't warn them!0 -

great way to welcome new forum members- take the mickey:(
im quite sure you werent born a money saver and like me, had to start somwhere!!
i asked a simple question and thank you to all that answered, much appreciated0 -
TT CPS is still a good deal if like our household a large majority of calls are to other TT Users. Average TT monthly bill is only 25p. Would otherwise cost an additional £4.50 a month for daytime calls using 1899.
