i am sooo fed up
i sent my phone in to be repaired by Three as one of their games currupted it, and they sent me back another one (refurbed, but thats ok)
and it didnt work - so i put my sim in my old 6170 (as had to send back the one they had sent me...
then i get a text saying
"Warning. you are not using a Three mobile - we will disconnect you if you continue using a non Three mobile...'
this is soo out of order, its their fault i am without a bl**dy phone!
so i phoned them up, and its aparantly automated and there is nothing they can do.... (i'll tell them what they can do)
so - they have given me a £15 refund (to add to the £10 for the sending the phone back refund, i'd better get both!!) and i have no phone for the weekend...!!!
i am soooooooo annoyed..
NEVER EVER EVER going to get another 3 phone!

Use a landline for the weekend or by a cheap PAYG for emergencies ... it is not mandatory or a necessity to own a mobile.

Ivan
sorry: i disagree, if i am paying rental for something then i believe i should be able to use it. the fact its not a 3 phone is the fault of three because they sent me a faulty phone.
Thats my view, its not about having a mobile, its quality of service and it's pretty difficult to use your landline when you are away from home....
update:
i then get a call from Three saying - my phone is out of warranty... so the broken phone they sent me, will cost me £55 to repair...?!?!
at which point i asked him if he was trying to wind me up.
they said i would get that phone repaired and sent back.
on Monday i got a letter from Three (about the warranty) - so i phoned them up and said i did not want the phone that someone else had 'dropped or crushed... (quote from letter)' and wait 3 days for the pleasure!- and they could either send me a refurb phone that day (gave them 4 hours) OR send me a brand new phone, which i would wait for....!
(hand over phone, to girls at work!: if these cowboys send me a new phone - the drinks are on me ...)
he spoke to the supervisor and came back and agreed to send out a brand new phone within 3 days!!
(so i had to buy cakes for the girls at work)
anyway - one happier customer from three - although i was rather worried about talking to a bloke called geraldine!Willow: I knew it, I knew it, well not in the sense of having the slightest idea, but I knew there was something I didn't know!0 -
I refuse to pay rental for a phone since i had a major problem with Vodafone recently, it almost went to court, i now use a free BT simcard which topped up for £10 a month gives 300 text messages. I'm a light user i don't make many calls so the £10 should last me one month of text messages totally free and 2 months of messages paid for, it Will actually more than likely last me at least 4 months. I know this way how much money I'm spending and also the likes of Vodafone can't decide to take extra payments out of my account that they are not entitled to take. Took me 8 weeks to get a £300 overpayment, they decided to dip into my account as they saw fit, back off them. I ended up giving them 14 days or litigation would be filed and further correspondence would be charged at £25 per letter and £10 per phone call, they paid up within 7 days.0

I actually agree with you but if having a mobile phone is that important then, taking into account they do go wrong, can be lost, can get damaged etc. you need a backup plan.Buffyslay wrote:sorry: i disagree, if i am paying rental for something then i believe i should be able to use it. the fact its not a 3 phone is the fault of three because they sent me a faulty phone.

as per my conversations today with various people including the top head in your call centre Vejay Shetty, i will be sending in a letter on monday to cancel my account - however due to your complete lack of customer service i expect my account balance to be cleared - if you are in any doubt of the reasons to this i suggest you look into my account details. I have cancelled my DD and will not be paying you any more money at all. I expect my PUK number within 4 days of receipt of the letter i will be sending you on monday
hi again
oooh new update - 4 days after they promise me a new handset - i call them as it has not arrived, oh it was sent yesterday... ok i phone parceline, no we havent got it
phone them back - no we havent sent one - its out of stock, instead of a brand new 6680 that we promised you, you can have a refurb 6630! (listen you dozey ********* - if i wanted a 6630 - then thats what i would have got!)
finally told them to shove the account where the sun dont shine and that they would not get any money out of me (currently they owe me money) have cancelled dd
problem is though - i want to keep my number.... good i am so mad - (i now have a rahter nice N80 - cool)Willow: I knew it, I knew it, well not in the sense of having the slightest idea, but I knew there was something I didn't know!0 -

PUK - Personal Unblocking Key code
Don't send a letter asking for a PUK code if you are asking to migrate your number from one provider to another. You will find the correct term to use on the phones board:eek:0 -
