I'm declaring my total at £290.47 for January, just a little short of my target. DH is working away for the next month and am going to make the most of having the house to myself and have a huge sort out, get things on ebay etc. So hopefully will have a more successful February.

84p saved in corner shop the other day and today I managed to get a £2 refund after Thomas Cook decided that I was going to give £2 to their charity when I paid for my business trip..flippin cheek, I want to decide who I am donating money too, I dont want it taken from my card (its tantamount to stealing from my purse:mad:)

Hi All, haven't been on for a while - £13.80 saved on fares this week through working from home & getting lifts - declaring at a disappointing £172.10 :o. Really haven't tried very hard this month so shouldn't be surprised. To be honest I haven't put much effort in for the last couple of months and only made targets because of luck (which ran out this month). I've going to try much harder in February can't keep relying on luck.

Well done to all who have made their targets (spectacularly in some cases) and commiserations to the rest of us.

A few months ago I changed to internet billing for my mobile - only just worked out how to log into my account :o and realised that I've been regularly going over my allowance for texts since then. Not a lot of money - just over £20 in total for the 3 months - but a real waste and not very MSE. I'm going to have to get used to using text speak rather than the long-hand I normally use.

Sweetpeas: hope DS has recovered & that you get a satisfactory response from the school. Those sort of things are really upsetting & emotionally exhausting. Good luck
