Ds got a tv/dvd combi from santa.........
Turned it on and tried to load the dvd......
it doesnt work
Took it back to argos, they said yep its clearly broken but we dont have any, neither do any of our other stores......
I ask for a replacement they say no, you will have to pay extra......I did as its xmas and the little one was clearly a bit miffed that santa left him a broken item.......all they could offer was a tv and seperate dvd for an extra £65.....im disguisted with argos, anything I can do?
Or am i picking a fight with no rights?

I don't think they are obliged to give you a higher value replacement if the original item is out of stock, but did they not offer a refund - in which case you might have got something similar elsewhere?0

Picking a fight with no rights. You had a broken item. They offered to refund (I guess). End of. You were under no pressure to buy other items from them.
Sorry but that is how it is.Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0 -

Most of tvs that Argos sell they own the brand, like Grundig/Bush/Alba etc
I think some of them are rubbish tbh I rather pay a bit more or maybe now after xmas not much more at all for a decent brand0
