Hi
Had a new nano for Xmas and when setting it up Christmas morning it said I needed the latest itunes number whatever it was and to down load it. Normally don't down load it but seeing its a new nano and I wanted all the features to work properly, thought better had as we had not had latest one for about 18 months.
Got a couple of issues, a few of the CD's I have out on come up under compliations, not under the artist which makes it harder to find. Also none of the albumn artwork comes up (and nor on my nano) is it only downloaded stuff you get the artwork on?
Also been trying to register my ipod but getting an error on itunes store - error number - 9808, also when trying to set up account on itunes as I have a gift card and keen to sign up for the freebie downloads if anything i like, I keep getting error -1202.
Anyone know what these errors mean, is it Itunes playing up or is it my comp or something i've done?
Really hope someone can give me some advice.

In order to download artwork, you need to have an Itunes store account and to enter the account details into Itunes.
The way Itunes organises music drives me mad. If it weren't for the fact I'm on Win7 x64, I'd use one of the many other free applications to sort out music for my Ipod Classic.0 -
Itunes error 1202:
Firstly check your time/date are right.
then
1. If you look a the Certificates snapin for your 'Local Computer' in MMC and only find a few Trusted Root Certificates then you should run the Microsoft May 2009 Trusted root certificate update from here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=f814ec0e-ee7e-435e-99f8-20b44d4531b0&displaylang=en
The above fixed the 8192 problem for at least one person that I know of.
As a matter of fact it wouldn't hurt to re-run that whether you think you're missing Ceritificates or not.
2. If you ever had your computer connected to an Active Directory domain then there might be a problem with your Certificate policy. The Local Computer Policy MMC snap-in might show you some settings that you can fiddle with.
This fixed a raft of problems for people to do with updates and sign-ins an so on.
3. Apple now have a support document that points to to an MS knowledgebase article on how to troubleshoot certificate problems on Vista. It's long and involved and the final step if nothing has worked is a reinstall. You should check out the article here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822798
This last one was presented as a solution to problems that were fixed by the first two so try those first.
Itunes error 9808:
In Internet Explorer, go up to Tools > Internet Options. Then go to the last tab, Advanced, and scroll down to the Security section. It is the fifth box down and make sure "Check for server certificate revocation (requires restart)" is unchecked. Then access the iTunes Store as usual and hopefully it will fix the iTunes 9808 error.
