Is this a bargain or not. Only for a bedroom.

Yes! If you like the picture, and it does what you want. Ok it won't be great on Blu-Ray, HD or have 100hz 24p processing etc etc, but you just want to watch a bit of telly in bed it's ideal.

There's another thread discussing this tv.... somewhere!

As I said on there, I've had this tv for 3 months. Very easy to set-up, great picture and 100 quid cheaper than I bought it for!

Seconded. They're low rent panels with poor contrast and a bit of ghosting in fast moving scenes so its definitely a case of checking before you buy.

TBH, unless you've a massive bedroom, a 22" or 26" one will suffice. Don't get hung up on 1080p either. For your eyes to be able to resolve up all the detail on 1080p viewed from 6ft away, you'd need a 69" screen with the screen size increasing the further away you get. i've just bought a 19 ins one of these for the bedroom and its being used with a newly installed outdoor aerial. i'm absolutely made up with the picture its crystal clear. Only slight moan from me is when you change channel its not instantaneous, takes a second or two - unlike out superduper tv downstairs.
