Hi
I visit an elderly lady and she would like to be in touch with a man who she once knew & he was a very deer friend off hers and they lost touch via a sad situation , it would make her christmas if she could contact him , she is 80 so iam doing the best i can for her but dont know where to start
he was in the navy and will be aged 78 , she thinks he may be in Newcastle
does anybody have any idea where i could start looking online ? i have also posted on the forces board on mse but its very quite on there

try the phone book and make a few random calls?
take out an ad in their local paper?
a long shot at their age, but try facebook?
or hire a private detective if the value of getting them together is worth more than the probable cost factor.GREENS M'SHIP OFFER NOW CLOSED SO PLEASE DON'T ASK ME!Olympic Debt-free Challenge £2150/£11900 = 18.0%NOW INVESTIGATING AN ALTERNATIVE TO MY IVA - I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND ONE ANY MORE!0 -

Im a bit of a detective with 192.com :rotfl:I use it all the time to look for people and help others find people. Like a family member looking for her sons father because he stopped paying CSA. If you know his name and town that is a help on that site but you can get the results for free, it just takes a lot longer. It depends if you want to pay the £30 odd to see everything or want to take the long route of trying to find the postcode he lives under. I always take the long route. Though Newcastle is a big place so lots of postcodes. Maybe what you could do is actually call Newcastle council and ask for his details on the electoral register as they will give these over the phone at times. Good luck.
