You may well have not seen the hazard, but for all you know that could have been because someone was in the carriageway and had been struck by the first vehicle and still under it for example.
Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.

Together we can make a difference.

Guess I should have taken up lane 3 and joined in a rolling block off the carriageway?.......praying that all traffic behind would slow down - only for them to realise that there was nothing to stop for, road perfectly clear - no debris - no insane swedish women running across it - clear as the day. Just because there is blue flashing lights doesnt = hysteria and over reactions.

a road system is a road system, wether single lane or multi lane motorway, one gear forward and one back,so, makes no difference, what we are trying to explain to you is how to drive a motor vehicle safely wether that be a robin reliant or a ferrari,

you seem unable to grasp the FACT that YOU were driving too fast for the prevalent road conditions and are now trying to blame others for your near accident

as you would know from your bodyguard training course.......its defensive driving to avoid kidnappers disabling my vehicle.....I felt boxed in to be honest. Had to use my natural training and reactions to maybe even avoid a potential robbery / kidnapping. The fact that they all of a sudden stopped using their hazards and accelerated behind me, even confirms this sinister piece of driving style.

no seriously, the Highway Code is not legally enforceable rules anyway. I think you are being premature to suggest I have committed any offence whatsoever.

in addition to having no endorsements (unlike yourelf no doubt), not even a parking ticket I also have Pass-plus, and see myself as a good example to other road users.

a good example to others? not good enough not to have a crash eh

I was in a similar situation, a whiplash injury, used a no win no fee personal injury solicitor specialising in accident claims. You should not be out of pocket for anything

A crash which was proven not to be my fault and I was nicely compensated. Even the best driver can be driven into by idiots.

to constantly check a blind spot, except for overtaking, is taking your attention away from all other areas of the road. When you check the blindspot, your total view is restricted to perhaps, 15% of whats going on. As opposed to roughly 70%ish of looking ahead, side mirrors and internal mirror.

but when you are driving you should be 100% aware of what is going on around you,not just in front

    !!!!ing ludicrous!!!??!!??!

no wonder the roads are death traps, too many wannabe-sheriffs slowing everyone down - in my army training it was approved method in times of bad weather that you have to accelerate as fast as possible as this gets you out of the danger before the snow falls to the extent that you are stuck. I was also the only one on that road equipped with snow chains, which allowed me to do 50ish alongside the snail paced traffic trudging at 15mph. The end result is unlike so many, I was home earlier to my worried family and not in any crash out of hesitation - stupidity. I highly recommend some people here get themselves on an intensive driving course.
