Hi ,
I remember watching an episode of The Gadget Show were they mentioned about a site that i think you maybe put the product bar code into , which then gave you the best price you could get a particular product for . I know you have all the usual suspects ie Kelcoo , Pricerunner etc etc but these dont always find the best price available.
Hope this is posted in the correct section .

I think all such sites are rigged. Who pays the piper calls the tune!
Probably a google search is as good as any.0 -

This was exactly my view . Thats why i mentioned the gadget show . Could be wrong though .
I thought they put in the product bar code so i thought maybe independent , cant remember which episode or what exactly they were trying to find .
I have tried searching the Gadget Show website but no joy .
Wouldnt it be great to just do one search for a particular product and be given the best price available instead of only searching the companys that subscribe to your site .

I just google search these days. the price comparison sites always seem to miss some shops out and are not reliable.
Also as well as googling, try visiting certain well known sites like amazon, play.com, etc and search their site yourself.0 -
and don't forget searching on here as decent deals are sure to have been flagged up in the MSE forums

Hi, It is wise to use more than one Comparison site and other methods to, as they sometimes can miss deals which another one can pick up.
Also visiting some of the big players directly such as Amazon, Dabs and sometimes the likes of Dixons, Comet etc etc can be worth it as the CS can miss the deals.
I tend to have bookmarked numerous individual sites which I open up simultaneously and check the item over them. Sometimes one comparison site will find the best site, sometimes cashback sites make the deal better and sometimes going to a retailer site direct that, a comparison site might miss gives the best deal.
Another good comparison site is 'Foundem' and was one of the ones mentioned on the Gadget show along with price runner with on average giving the best results.0 -
There was an article related to that in this month's MoneyWise (got it free thanks to MSE). It showed generally MoneySupermarket.com was best in most aspects (loans, insurance etc)The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.
