Ipod downloads how to delete?

My daughter has an ipod touch and was downloading some free apps. Some of the apps are large files and taking ages so I stopped them downloading and delted them but they are still there. Every time I go to itunes they start redownloading.

How do I dete them from the itunes downloads completely?

Hi, sorry I don't think I was clear in what I was asking. They haven't been downloaded to the itouch they are in my itunes waiting to be downloaded. I have selected them and deleted them but the still appear in the downloads folder as waiting to download.

Are there any options when you right-click the apps? Such as stop or delete?

Hi, sorry its so long after original post, still can't get rid of them. Every time I connect ipod to itunes they start downloading again, fail and then just stay there. When I right click I get the option to stop and then delete but this just moves them to the downloads available area and it starts all over again.

Any ideas how to get rid of available downloads?
