Also grated carrots bulk out loads of savoury meals quite cheaply and is healthy - used for spag bol; lasagne; fish pie; casserole; stews etc.

With the chopped off ends and peelings (if they're old carrots) they go to the bunny to keep the rabbit food cost down!

Get yourself over to the sneaky ways of saving pennies thread (all 200 pages of it!!) and you'll soon know how to make 1 loo roll last a month!

I had an interesting NSD yesterday. My niece had tickets to the Most Haunted Live....without spending a penny (even that kind of spent penny was held off after sitting in a freezing cold hangar for 4 and a half hours without moving ).
Was it worth the effort of turning out in the cold? Don't think I'll go cuz I can't 'hold on' for 4 mins let alone 4 hours mixed-smiley-002.gifI have to be in the right frame to sit thru MH, but then I've gone off a few of my absolutely must-watch-es just lately
How is everyone doing? Anyone still snow bound? Still loads of slush and ice here but a lot easier to get around and most of the roads are clear. I love going into work :DNot here it ain't :o No1 Offspring took 4.5hrs to travel less than 6 miles yesterday, cuz some folk couldn't drive appropriate to the conditions

....So I went round Mr M's paying attention to what I wanted on Friday and then on Friday will go to Mr T's and buy stuff as long as those particular items are cheaper - if not will call in at M's again. Have you looked on mysupermarket.co.uk? It gives you prices for the Big Four supermarkets & the offers they are running, so perhaps you could price things up before you go..I try to do that & have a little notebook so I can remember how much stuff is--usually per 100g cuz shops do different pack sizes.
....BigMummaF I demand that you start a 'Switch off TV/Laptop and get your dirty house clean you lazy minger' thread. I think it would take off.....
    I would...if I could get orf the poota & stop wotchin the googlie-box sad-smiley-067.gif
Where are solventsoon & BigMummaF today? They normally post on here once A day I think? Do you think they've gone for a curry together? Flipping annoyed if they have - I love a good curry. Or perhaps solventsoon has committed a terrible and blood thirsty crime on account of cabin fever and BigMummaF has gone to bail her out. They could be eating popcorn watching the new Sherlock Holmes movie. Darn it! I could so do Robert Downey Jnr.

Any other theories? Any other regulars missing? Oooohhh perhaps they are busy setting up their own religious order on a remote island 'St Martins latter-day NSD-ers'

Am bored. Went to bed early cause I was falling asleep doing the washing up. And now I'm bored.
    If ONLY!!!!!!!!!!
For some obscure reason my subscription isn't too reliable for this thread in particular at the mo & with the Offspring wanting to get on here too, I am only having time to clear my in box  Whoever thought up connecting xb0x to pootas has a lot to answer for violent-smiley-030.gif

This will be my first day of driving this year, will take it easy. Might go and sprinkle more salt on our lane, which is still quite icy.

Hope you got on OK Keiss.
My first driving day today as well, roads definitely still slippery around here - nearly went into the lamp post when trying to get back on our drive

I've been a lot better racking up NSDs than I have updating all and sundry of my progress. NSD 10 yesterday (today has gone already but hope springs eternal for the weekend).

    Cheers,
