I am screwed

  • it was 12k for each year 3years. But its way past 3 years now. So thats why i am running low. I have had jobs etc but because i had to focus on writing up and i became severly depressed i had to stop working.

I just wanted to say that I've been there too (every word you said, including the 12k per year) and it's hard but will be worth it. H and I both took four years to complete our PhDs (so a year each completely unpaid) and all our debt is a result of that plus the five years each we'd already spent at uni. It'll be worth it, I promise. I sometimes despair at our debt but then I think about the amazing education we have had and the promising careers we're now embarking on and I can't think of anything I'd rather have spent the money on. All the best for your viva, I hope you pass with flying colours x
