    just seen a topic on the dell forums (by the OP) and from the reply, it sounds like the motherboard will need to be replaced because of the dead bios
  • Seconded. You've bricked it. When you were flashing the BIOS and it appeared to freeze, did you only leave it a minute or so before turning it off? Some models can take a couple of minutes or more to flash and appear as if they've locked up, unresponsive to controls. They haven't. If you'd left it 5 minutes and it was still locked up then yes, there most likely was a problem but a minute or two is pretty normal.
