'Deal of the day' thread-thoughts please?

Hello all!

As we're now in to the 'LATES' season a proper, I thought this would be a good place to post those elusive late deals....rather than put them on the 'want a quote thread' where they'd get lost quickly, put them on here-as if they're 'very late' (ie next few days) they will go quickly....so people can refere to this thread purely for late deals.

I don't want this thread to become a 'price beat competition', ie I find a deal at £149, someone else posts at £145 etc...as to be honest those in the trade simply do not have the time to keep re-posting. Likewise, the non-trade experts on here (you know who you are!) should resist the temptation to say...'ah but its £4 cheaper with this company, code' etc...otherwise the thread will be clogged quickly. Also, if sava, sloppy et al see a good late deal-post it up here!

I think this thread will be of great 'moneysaving' use especially if we keep it uncluttered (!) so MSE posters can see the true cost of lates. To this end anything put up on heremust be a complete total-no extras, ie transfers, etc included BUT with the flight meals excluded. . This way we can all see the genuine price. As an example, if i quote someone a price & its a 'late' I'll whack it up here. Likewise for the other Industry bods & sava, sloppy, etc.....but only if it's a late in the next 4 weeks!

I must stress this is not advertising, but a true way for MSE posters to see the TRUE price of lates & decide if they can afford to go away.

Doing a quote now for this w/end-will kick the ball rolling with that!

Lizzy-need to be carefull what I put as I don't want to be accused of advertising (!)....no link as we're using up some committed accom that the tour op's have cheap as it's last minute....you can google the altamar & it'll come up. If you/anyone you know is interested in a specific deal just pm/e-mail me. Likewise sava/sloppy, etc will be more than happy to help on deals they find. I keep telling 'em to get a job in the trade!

Did you phone them for this deal, or look it up on the site? As I couldn't see that they do flights - only hotels?

you have to phone them. they do the flights in the package as well but they seem to only show hotels on the webiste.
i found them through teletext to start with (its seemed like a good deal... something like £219) then I gave them a ring and the price was 292 pp for everything.

The travel agents on thee high street today was trying to get me to pay £729 for 2Adults for a 3* so I grabbed the chapa deal asap!
