Problem with SD Card

I have an SD Card which isn't picked up by any hardware. I think there is an actual problem with the card.
The photos should still be on it - how could I salvage these? Software recovery doesn't work as the card isn't recognised by any hardware.
Thanks

Actually, looking at the card, the contacts look really worn. I wonder if one or two of them aren't making contact. If this is the case, how would I remedy it?My suggestion and/or advice is my own and it is up to you if you follow it, please check the advice given before acting on it.0

You could try this product http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?moduleno=36275 . Try putting masking tape either side of the contact then paint it with the solution.0
