Hi my brother bought a remote control jeep from tesco did not think to try it out and gave it on xmas day and no cover for battery. I called tesco customer service today and they said without receipt or tesco written on box nothing we can do. My brother paid by card so if he takes that in with jeep he would get exchange problem being it was half price and none left. The wean would just like a back for battery he was so disappointed due to this but tesco saying more or less tough without receipt. Can anyone help

The card by itself wouldn't help much but a copy of a card statement will. It will prove that a transaction took place and is a widely accepted form of proof of purchase.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Widely accepted on here as a give it a go option but in the real world proves very little other than you spent a sum of money in the store on that day - proves even less if you bought other items as well as the amount doesn't tally with the cost of the item.
Do you have a clubcard? If so I believe that could be the answer as supposedly they store individual items bought.
Or if you want to be more of an !!!!! you have a right to any security video footage that the store may hold of you - they can charge up to £10 for this though...0
