My husband has asked for a pair of topiary shears for his birthday - or sheep clippers?
Has anyone used these and can any recommendations be made please?
Thanks.

I've got some Burgon and Ball ones (sounds like a strange design, but actually a brand name!) and they are great. They are a bit pricey though - I received them as a present fortunately. You can get them at good garden centres, and see this website for more info:

There are a lot of cheaper options too; I think the best thing is to try them out at the garden centre to find a pair that feel comfortable. Some of the cheaper ones pinch your hand after a while.
To be honest, even with my super expensive B&B shears I still do most of my smaller topiary with a good pair of scissors!
