Hi All - new to this
I have recently signed up to a trust deed *(Aug 09) which has now become protected, however, I am still receiving phone calls and lots of letters from the companies - is this likely to stop. I forward all correspondence to my trust deed company.
Secondly since I have signed to this I have now become eligible for working tax and seperately child tax credit - can anyone tell me if these are taken as income and therefore my monthly payments would increase?
Thanks
Worried Jackie

hi jackie
i got my Trust Deed Protected in november and was still receiving calls and letters. I got my IP to fax them to stop sending these and I spoke to one creditor on the phone and told them that what I had was legally protected and they were breaking the law by phoning me ,they soon stopped.
I wouldn't think your tax credits etc could get taken as income but I don't get anything like that so maybe someone else will know better.0 -
Your tax credits would be put towards your monthly expenditure leaving you with more disposable income to make a contribution. Best to speak to your IP.0

Hi Jackie, I am also under a protected Trust Deed (started in November 2006). I have been asked once a year for a list of all my incomings and outgoings to ensure that I am not paying more or less than I can afford. I have had to ask to decrease my amount because I had problems after splitting from my ex and now am a single mother, I should have finished my Trust Deed last November but they have extended it on the lesser amount. If you do have any concerns then contact your IP, I certainly have found mine to be very helpful.0
