    FAO FREYASMUM

I have had my eyebrows and lips tattooed and it was the best thing I ever did. My eyebrows were badly overplucked in the 80's and had no shape and were really sparse, so I had them done, what a difference, it really opened up my face and the amount of people who thought I had surgery was amazing.

Get yourself a reputable place and go for it, you won't regret it.:T
I'm even more determined to do it now :D

Mine are naturally very, very thick :o But at college, we had to practice on ourselves and they were starting to look a bit sparse.

oh yes indeed, old friend bought me a powder compact in a dark shade and I dont even wear powder:mad::mad:
The thought is lovely, but it's a bit rubbish when you have trouble exchanging.
You're not going to believe this. :rotfl:
Went to tesco last night to pick up all the ingredients for my parents cake. At the time I was a bit doozy with a cold so didn't pay attention to all the stuff I bought. Just went to the kitchen to bake it, I thought ooh lordy that's a lot of cake batter... it's meant to feed 30 people :o

    Devils food cake for everyone!!
    Woooop! Party at yours :rotfl:
I've just washed my hair and moisturised. In the next few days I should be finished a few fullsize products so I'm a bit excited (how sad is that :o). All the stuff I've used up so far have just been samples/minis, so yay.

I found a pair of exfoliating mits about a week ago that I bought but never used... have used them a few times in the shower and they've made such a difference, especially to the skin on my legs. And the best bit is they only cost me 49p from B&M.
It's a great feeling when you use them up, isn't it - it's quite addictive :rotfl:

Exfoliating mitts are my favourite :j

    Vegetable oil.

You can either rub it straight on like a cuticle oil, or you can heat it up ever so slightly - but be very careful . Set it in a bowl and put that bowl into a bigger bowl with hot water - and soak your fingers in it.

Cotton wool is just cotton wool, as far as I'm concerned :)

    Thanks Freyasmum

Thought my OCM might have helped but just realised it also has castor oil in it which is supposed to help with drying skin :o

I suppose with the cotton pads it's easier to just take one out of the packet rather than rip some cotton wool off a roll although cotton wool balls would probably just be the same wouldn't they!

Might have to see which is more of a bargain with the offer they have in Boots (I do need to get some so no shouting at me ;))
    Did owe £9,951.96

Now helping hubby pay off loan. Finally paid off :j

 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

  • I got a bit carried away when I read this thread starting on boxing day and although I'm not guilty of buying toiletries until I've used up what I have I decided in the spirit of money saving that I would collect all the hotels soaps and toiletries on my next holiday (which just happened to start on Dec 27th). I reasoned Id paid for them anyway so I was entitled to them.

I have to say I took it very seriously and after 16 days in Florida flew home with -

34 bars of soap (little hotel room ones)
    4 mini mouthwashes
12 shampoos, 8 body lotions, 6 conditioners and 4 packs of 2 facial towels

oh and a plastic shower cap.

And of course we used quite a lot of stuff on the trip too.

I always leave a nice tip for housekeeping and it certainly paid off as they left extras a few times.

However my husband nearly exploded when one of our cases was overweight on the way home (thankfully the nice Continental airlines lady turned a blind eye) and he insisted on putting my entire haul in a carrier bag when I unpacked and weighed it. I couldn't believe it - it weighed 4lbs - and he proceeded to rant about how my "freebies" could have cost us a small fortune.

So maybe on the next trip I'll be a bit more selective (and it will be a while before I need to buy soap anyway!):D

Hi ladies, feeling a bit blue today,Hubby has been a bit of an a**e and i hate tension:(.

Oh dear Shea body butter £6.25:eek::eek::eek:I don't need it but..No, I shall be strong.:j
And a few of them are on 3 for 2, so effectively you'd be getting 3 for the normal price of one!
    Aargh!
    MUST BE STRONG :A

I was in Boots tonight getting my Advantage Card points added on to my replacement card and managed to resist the L'Oreal Solar Expertise suncream reduced from £11 odd to £1. So chuffed with myself.
Finished a mini tub of S&G Flake Away tonight. Not many 'nearly empty' items left now, so will treat myself at the weekend by opening something nice.
My mum called today to tell me all about the 1/3 off 'that pink stuff in Boots you love'....God love her, as if I wouldn't already know!!
    :)

Used up lots - am headhunting stuff that's nearly empty and small bottles.

    1. Hair remover cream (quite old so squeezed into the plugholes and run water down, helps clear any *yuk* blockages.

    2. Regis hair conditioner - a brown pot. Expensive but nice. I found a James Brown conditioner (free with a magazine) so I actually have 2 now, one conditioner in use and one in my stash. Still that's reasonable. Here's hoping I don't find anymore in the house!

    3. Clarins body scrub - delish. Definitely buy again.

    4. Old soaps x 3 all lying around gunging up the bathroom. Yuk!

    5. M&S Inspire bubble bath - uninspiring so used it to wash the bath and sink.

    6. Mini Clarins Men skin wash - my loved one had binned it but I squeezed a few more uses out of it to wash my hands.

    7. Body Shop Vitamin E cream SPF15 - nice texture. Great handy size in the summer to pop in your bag. I will buy again (this or the Seaweed SPF one).

    8. Elemis salt scrub in a red glass jar - orrible. Quite oily do difficult to wash off.

    9. Clinique spot gel - this is a regular buy. is quite aggresive at drying out spots. But is only £9 so is quite a good thing to buy at bonus time.

    10. An Asda anti-bacterial gel (hey it's still toiletries). Ok. Have found using foam ones a bit easier.

Right, am off to quickly catch up then reach for some creams tonight. I may look like I'm about to swim the English channel - wish me luck! :p

I keep finding random bits of product. I found a boxed Urban Decay concealer at the bottom of a pile of scarves. No recollection of when I bought it. I never liked Urban Decay :rotfl: Do they even still sell it?

    I miss buying things :o
