my IPOD not recognised?

I have i pod touch and since updating i havent been able to sync my ipod, as its not showing up in itunes, before the update, it showed up perfectly.

The ipod is NOT showing in my computer either? on windows XP, In devise manager next to the apple devise is a explanation mark in yellow circle and states code 10. Not able to start.

Believe me i have tried everything.... from rebooting ipod, reinstalling itunes etc etc, read through loads of forum help boards but i still have problems.

does anyone know how to solve this? how to get my devise recognised,

anyone else have this problem???

  • Im still struggling with this and have tried all the points from apple support - with no luck.
I have checked all itunes is running ok after reinstalling it (again) I have even reset my ipod via settings - still no luck.
When i look in devise manager, there is no IPOD listed under the USBmass, should there be? All i have is 'apple ethernet devise' which is under network adapter - anyone know if it should be in here??
Its like all the software is there on windows and PC, but not the actual IPOD?
itunes wont recognise it at all. So cannot even totally restore my ipod, of which would probably solve the problem? Anyone know how to do this without itunes?
Anyone know if i can re-link the ipod to itunes? As i think the ipod update has corrupted the files i had? but need to force them back to recognise, when i do a diagnostic test off itunes, it detects NO IPOD

    .................HELP!!!!!!!!!
