noisy laptop fan

noticed on my 2 year old dell inspiron 5160 that the interior fan seems to be working at max speed nearly permanentely .. is very noisy.

anything i can do about it ?

  • Try getting you hoover attachement upto the inlet area for the fan, and having a clean around. Chances are you've dust in your bearings (ooh, sounds painful!) :)

    Otherwise, you can get cans of compressed air to jet in, although I just give mine a regular blow. Matron.

    Just how many double entendres can I squeeze in here ! Anyway, hope there's something useful for you in this post
