Looking for a Spa day in South Wales

Hello,
My brother is a little bit stuck for ideas. He's trying to book a spa day for his girlfriend's birthday but has exhausted all his suggestions. Tried out last minute etc and directly through some hotels. It's either ridiculously confusing, aren't able to book or other issues.
Does anybody know of any spa's around that area that would be worth having a look at?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Katie

The Cardiff Hilton has a really nice spa. Hilton currently have January sales on for weekend nights, so if he booked a night with them they would have free membership at the spa for the day, including use of the pool, steam room and sauna. Then he could book any extra treatments with them via the spa. I had a trial day at the spa (run by Livingwell) and the facilities are really nice.
Also their website is really fricken' slow at the moment.POO - TEE - WEET

depends which part of South Wales - St Pierre in Chepstow has a spa, as does Peterstone Court, nr Talybont (towards Brecon). A friend of mine went last year and had a great day at Peterstone Court.Bern :j0

Your brother should talk to Belaqua - they are a really good spa agent. They have visited every spa they promote, so they know what they're taking about and they match the spa they recommend to what you're looking for. They also sell vouchers that can be used at any of their spas. I always use Belaqua when I'm looking for a pampering gift!0

OOOOh...I loved the Vale of Glamorgan Hotel Spa When I lived in the valleys. I think it was called the Herons? It was a few years ago now but it was a proper spa with all the facilties, and one of the best relaxation areas that I've ever come across.
HTH x x xRight now I'm having amnesia and deja- vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before0 -

Just north of Merthyr on the Brecon road is a really nice place, it's small but very friendly, we've been there twice and not been disappointed.
also been to http://www.cwrtbleddyn.co.uk/special_offers.php I found it a bit enclosed, but service was fine.
hope that helps,
