Netgear Router Help Please!

I have got a netgear WGR614 with virgin media.

Yesterday i had to reinstall one of my laptops after getting the blue screen of death and not being able to get past it! :mad: However i cant remember my wireless password have tried logging into the router using both admin and virgin and passwords password and 1234 none of which are working! Does anyone know of any others i can try or is it going to be a case of resetting the router?

you've tried "password" with both admin and virgin usernames? did you change it from the default?

If all else fails there will be a master reset button on the router. however before doing this make sure you have all the broadband username and passwords and virgin settings, as you will need to re input these.

This will reset your router back to factory settings

you could also try googling "windows wifi password recovery " and see if there are any free applications which will recover the password from a working computer

Yep tried it with both usernames, dont remember changing it!

Just got it by using that programme though so thank you ever so much!

You can't log in using the username and password unless you're connected to the router by cable because unless you have the correct wifi key, it won't be connected to it via wireless.

Defaults for Netgear are:
Username: admin
Password: password

Thanks i was actually trying to do it from the main pc which is connected by LAN and it still wasnt working which is why i asked
