Slipper Falling Apart

Hiya all

I bought some lovely warm slippers from Dorothy Perkins last week. I paid £16 for them.

The right one is now falling apart, the toe seems to have collapsed and the seam on one side if undone.

It seems they are now £10 on the website. I'm not sure I want another pair if they are this bad quality, I would rather have a refund and buy some from Next or somewhere else.

Thing is, I don't have the receipt as once I wore them I chucked it away.

What can I do?

I know this policy may vary from store to store, but my mom once bought a top from River Island, she wore it once and the detailing fell off causing a hole on the one side, she took it back to the store, without a receipt as like you she had thrown it away and the sales assistant informed her that they'd had this problem with a few of these tops, and gave her store credit for the same amount that she'd paid. Maybe dotty p's would do the same thing? then you could buy something else with the credit? Failing that do you have a bank statement as proof of purchase?

I think you would need some sort of proff of the price you paid, like the poster above me a bank statement. Otherwise in most cases stores will only give you store credit to the current till price, or offer you an exchange. Hope this helps.
