dell inspiron 17 and fingermarks

Was keen to see a dell inspiron 17 laptop and looked in pc world but they only had an inspiron 15. However the glossy black surface round the keyboard showed stacks of fingerprints. Are all Inspirons like this? It may sound finicky butI know that would irritate me. Would have preferred either matt black or matt silver finish.

Quite agree, why hand over your hard-earned money for something that would irritate you (me also). From the top of my head, I don't know, but you could check the Dell website to see if they offer a different form of chassis (surround) for this model (perhaps unlikely?).

It looks like the new Inspiron 15 is black glossy, but the Inspiron 17 looks silver.

Studios are glossy and you get finger prints on the monitor lid. But then I not really care I have my microfibre cloth and remove the marks regularly anyway.

All glossy laptops are like this, not just the Dells.

Thanks for the replies. I've just clicked on the Inspiron 17 link and although it looks matt silver in the pic the basic colour is high gloss black and all the colour options are high gloss. I'll have to phone them up to check.
