The smell is horrific. It'll linger in your car for hours, and take several flushes through of your system before it abates.
Google Screenwash smell and you'll see it being described as anything from "rotten eggs" to "cat wee." I described it as "rancid Armadillo vomit." I first copped it when stuck in M/way traffic, with no airflow to get rid of the smell- I almost had to pull over & throw up. Not nice.
I haven't had that myself yet, but a few drops of sterisiling fluid (eg. Milton or any own-brand) should sort that out, either with each top-up or a bit more if mould is detected.
(NB: this might damage paintwork so if you have a posh car just buy the expensive stuff!)0
