Lost Network connection since downloading Bingo Cafe

Hope someone can help me please. Today I downloaded Bingo Cafe as they said they were offering £20 free to play bingo with.
I followed the instructions then decided I didn't like it so I deleted it through add/remove programmes.
Since then I can't connect to my network wireless connection. It just has a red cross across the monitor logo.
I have tried to do a system restore to yesterday and it still didn't work, so I forwarded it back to today again.
I still can't get on the network and now have to use my 3 g dongle which I don't really want to use only in emergencies.

It's as though the Bingo Cafe has changed my settings or it's just a coincidence.
My husband has had a go but to no avail. His laptop is working and so are the other two desk top pc.s

Hello, I've done all that, but no joy.
When I refresh networks in range there are none which is impossible as it usually shows at least 4.
My husband is sat next to me on his laptop and he can get about 6 networks.

There must be something it has changed, seems a big coincidence.

It doesn't even show the same network connection as hubbies , whereas it did before.

Is it a laptop - Have you knocked the wireless switch off?

It won't fix a red cross on the wireless networks icon.

teach me not to read properly.....lol

ignore last post and follow this

see if there are any yellow exclamation marks

if not them look under network adapters and then right click on the wireless one ( suspect will have a red cross against it) and enable it again , if that does not work then uninstall it . It should then redtect and re-install it

If I have knocked it off, I don't know how I did it and don't know how to find it to put it back on.

Look for a switch on the front or side ,or possible a key combination - see the manual.

If you mean on the router, then it is switched on as my husband is on it now.
I've also just switched my new laptop on which has connected to the wireless network ok, so it must be something to do with my old laptop.
Maybe it's just something I need to tick or untick.

Not keen on this new laptop as it uses windows 7 and loads of my software isn't compatible with it.
I want to install MGI Photosuite but it's not compatible and I don't know how to get to the compatibilty mode.

    Oh dear..
