Is your keyboard set to US instead of UK?

your keyboard is probably set to USA rather than UK try press SHIFT and 2 and see if the @ symbol comes up. if so let us know and we will tell you how to change it ;-)0

You need to change the language from US to UK
Start, Control Panel, Date Time Language and Regional Options, Regional And Language Options, Languages Tab then Details, Default Input Language, Change to UK, and also Click on Add for Installed Services and Change to UK and remove US if you like, then OK all the way out, Log Off PC then back on again for the changes to take effect.0 -
