Grabbit forum gone wrong again

Not going to post this in the grabbit forum as it would compound the problem. As per last year the quality of posts on the grabbit forum go downhill fast as soon as the sales period come along. If you look at the forum right now over 30% of posts are ones which should have been placed elsewhere. Where can I buy? When is the sale starting? Anyone posting to the OP showing where it should have been posted are often met with abuse. The grabbit can be a useful forum but only if used correctly, otherwise its far easier to use other websites who use other systems of control.

I don't bother much with Grabbit anymore. It's mostly full of stuff about Boots vouchers or Tesco-type shopping. Hot Deals UK is far better.

I am always amazed that there are some really good threads on MSE that deserve a wider audience and where people's input and support could really help - but because they are on boards like this one they are hardly seen. Yet there are 500,000 viewings (yes, really) of some Grabbit thread about where to buy cheap Uggs. People will spend a lot of time trying to save £20 on a £150 pair of crappy boots, but give nothing back to MSE in the way of advice or support. Human nature, I suppose.
  • Its been bad for a few weeks now, when you say something you get told off.

I also use hotukdeals for only source of grabbits now the grabbit forums are full of when sales are on, where can I find xx from etc

So you would think this post would be in the site feedback section of MSE rather than praise, vents and warnings ;):p
See how easy it for simple mistakes to happen.

I think it is a vent rather than feedback because we know nothing will be done about it! ;)

I also use Hotukdeals most of time, I use to say to people you posted in wrong forum but I never bother now as you just made to feel you are in wrong, so I let them get on with it

:pOh I had just assumed this section was about venting, praising shops and online stores not actually venting about MSE.

Yes stop posting on the wrong thread

    Post it in feedback.

This isn't a Praise, Vent & Warning, its feedback about MSE.

God some people have no thought for others posting in the wrong places :D

Starting a thread in the wrong forum moaning about other people doing the same, you couldn't make it up
