  • Update:

Eventually got an English speaking replacement from amazon yesterday. The measly sum of £10 compensation. Cheers amazon.

You got what you ordered in the end, and £10 for your trouble. That's more than enough surely?

Nope, there should have been a front page apology in all the national newspapers and compensation of at least £2 million..

Ummm No. I ordered a toy off amazon uk assuming that it was going to be the english version. I had no warning that it was not.

If you've not got anything constructive say then please go away.

A fairly straightforward mistake was made, they replaced and gave you a token compensation. Most companies wouldn't have even give you the tenner. I think Amazon have done fairly well here to you, to be fair.

But what more did you want? A mistake was made, put right and you received more than adequate compensation.
Had it happened to me, this would have been a "praise" thread for excellent Amazon customer service.

Right, but as I said you eventually got what you were after + £10. I would be happy with that?

Play.com sent me the wrong DVD, when I sent it back they replaced it and made a payment in my account to cover the postage, with all of 30p compensation for myself.
